Finally, the day we've been waiting for since school started! Summer is here and it's time to P-A-R-T-Y!!!! I'm, gonna be in grade 12 next september and its so weird to think about that my high schoo career is almost over! But im still summer happy summer times here!

Paris Hitlon...what a joke. Im so glad she is in jail. teach her a lesson if you ask me. When she first walked and only got house arrest in her 40 billion dollar house she broke her probation what an idoit c'mon you have like 2 months of your 40 billion dollar house i think you would have servived! and not only that i believe that if this was some average person they would be in jail and no questions asked she does not have the right to disobay the laws. she deserves what she got personally. if you want to drink and drive prepare to pay the consiquenses!

Memento

Movie Review:

The director nevertheless offers a discussion thread in order to avoid totally losing the audience. Memento is cut into sequences which when completed, return to the preceding sequence. Two recurring characters played by Carrie-Anne Moss and Joe Pantolion. He only has memory of his life up to the time his wife was attacked and killed and cannot create any new memories. Not having any memory of the day before, he thus bases his actions on Polaroids and tattoos on his body, which serve as his memory. But can he really trust his own notes and his subsequent interpretation of them? Memento is an innovative film, a successful exercise of style that disrupts the laws of narrative. With conventional treatment, the full-length film even manages to offer some shocking and unexpected twists that call everything back into question. It is obvious that such a film is not addressed to everyone, considering its complexity. Incessant popcorn eaters . Also is the real pleasure the director takes in the manipulation of his main character and the audience, some touches of irony and self-derision taking advantage of the situation. The unpredictable nature of film, the actors are lucky to be able to act in different registers according to the evolution of the story. Pearce is excellent, skillfully passing between confusion and calculated coldness. He carries film on his shoulders while Carrie-Anne Moss is also convincing in the various layers of her role.

Summer Love

There is this new perfume out called "Summer Love" and it honestly is my favorite ever! Its perfect, you know girls when you want to smell sweet and it lasts all day long your never worried plus its soo unique so different for any other kind os perfume you own! i really like it although its a little pricie..im trying to get my mom to buy it for me for my birthday but its soo great i think its worth the money..even though i have none, lets be honest i work at Mcdonalds...like i ever have any money haha. Anways in Ella Canada they call this perfume "off the wall different" (hens the picture) Yeah its the new summer love purfume its awesome!!

Traveler

Summer Time!

Felt like summer was never going to quit make it around the cornor but now it finaly feels like summer with June 1st (Beach Day) coming up in about 2 weeks we're all hoping for a high of 30 at lest! Dont let it rain...again!!!

Lets Talk About Love

Recently there were Siamese twins born joined at the heart. As the parents of there new children sat waiting for some miracle to save their children. These two little girls were hospitalized for 3 months before they were allowed to go home. They went under some massive heart surgary with a 20% chance of either one servial this is because the parents had no other choices their children wouldnt beable to live a normal happy life because they would be joined at the heart they wanted the best for their girls. They undertook the surgary only 17 hours to complete with care. The parents waited and waited and waited in fear and hope for their new born daughters. The doctors finally came out of the suragery and annocced "its a miracle" these two little girls lived through the heart transplant. Its an amazing story. These two Children are alive an healthy today they are about to celebrate their 1st birthday!! The parents named them Aasta which means love and A'shia which means she who lived to love. Congraulations to the Hung family!

Scare the Viewers

I was watching CTV last night and there was a quick summary about what was going to be on at 11:00pm and the news reporter says really fast "join us tonight at 11 and find out why Canada isn't letting their army come home from iraq, also tonight we'll take indepth of the new out break. Your family could be next." I found this strange, like scaring viewers to watch their newes all they do is say things that can relates to us. It makes us want to watch and be sure that we have a quick way out of a bad situation people are afraid of what they dont know and the news reporters no this therefore they us things like the pervious example to scare us into watching their news programs.

Relay for Life

On june 1st is relay for life. It's when you go to RMC and raise money to beat all different types of cancer. We raise money shead some tears and remember those who have past away from cancer. My mom and I are doing it together this year, because every single person in my family who has died have died from a type of cancer mainly breast cancer though, and we thought we would get involved and fight something that needs to be beat once and for all! So far we have raised 150 dollars which will all go to cancer research, every single penny! You are supose to have a team for the relay for life and Im doing it with my moms group which is the limestone loonies (we all have to wear lime green get its LIMEstone loonies...ha...ha) anyways a member of your team must be walking around the track at all times throughout the night from 7pm until 7am. My mom and my goal is yo raise atleast 300 dollars before June 1st! And now heres your chance to help beat cancer, if anyone is interested in sponsering the research of cancer just let me know every little bit counts!

What to believe

Recently, our media class has been learning about bias in the news. I've started to notice things in the news that i never did before just because i wasnt aware of it. though simple things like word choices and the title of the article even the picture they use. first starting with "word choices" as you have maybe seen on tv an advertisment to the next new casting on at a later time in the day will brifely say things like for example " tonight at a 11 we take you undercover to the break out of a new disease... is it deadly we'll have more at 11." things like that make us question ourself when really they should have said something more like "Join us tonight at 11 while we should you and your family how to protect themselves for this new outbreak." therefore this doesnt scare us its not bias and it makes us want to watch so we can help ourselves. Second, the titles on newes paper and the most important thing they tell us if they are worth reading. some bias titles that effected ESS was "only 20 students came out for the hungry for a change" where it should have said "20 students came out to support the hungry for a change." And finally the pictures used to create a bias setting would be for example the gossip pictures of celebs. eating or even just out for a walk in a hurry. they use these pictures to show a bias fact on all celebs yes they eat and yes they are in hurrys sometimes...who isnt theses day? and therefore this is why im not really sure what to beilve in the newes anymore.

The Search Is Over

Finally the search for the next pussy cat doll is over I've watched like 5 of the shows before and I couldn't help but laugh at these girls shaken their booties an using these high pitched annyoing voices that could break a mirror, wanting to win this show more then anything in the world. As part of the show these girls were to live in this house together, an honestly I have never heard girls fight so much in my life! These young girls an unrealistic idea on how adolence teens are supose to be...beautiful, skinny, big boobs, big butt and fake personalities. It makes young teens feel the need to be a dumb ditz what happened to the dream of a girl presdent? Oh right shes up on stage flashing her body to the world!

The winner of this show is a 17 year old teen mother of a 2 year old son, her name is Asia. Gossip magazine says " the only reason she won is because Chelsea couldn't sing and Melissa R. looked to much like Nicole (the lead suinger of the pussycat dolls.)" I think Asia is a poor choice for the next pussycat doll because she is a teen mother who has her future planned out for her (raising her two year old son) and i think that either one of two things will happen in the future, either her son will grow up thinking women are objects rather then people because thats how the pussycat dolls present themselves or her son will become neglected for his mother because shes to busy making her dream come true rather then raising her son. Im so glad its over!

What the Heck

I was listen to the radio this morning because my mom said I have to start setting my alarm clock because i sleep in too much, anyways it was set for 6:30 and thats what time the news comes on at and im laying in bed trying to find a reason to sleep longer and when my mom asked me why i slept in i can say "listing to the radio" tee hee...In my exciting rebellious act to sleep in i noticed that radio people slip in advertising everywhere Alex Black (who reported for the news on 100.1) said "And we'll have your cool one hundrend weather after this" and there is a brief advertising from windows and doors then back to alex black who says "Pizza-Pizza, todays high is 18." like she quickly says "pizza pizza" as if she has terretz...just tell me the weather and then play my country tunes....I was outraged with the amount of advertisments play on the radio its soo annoying.

Water-Tower or Advertisment

This weekand i went to London Ont. for my brothers provincials and the drive was aprox. 5 hours and trust me i was sooooooooo bored....i even was in the car with my two girlfriends but the drive felt soooo dragged out. anyways on the way home i was just looken out the window listen to music and a water tower.....a freaken water tower!!! had "Sears" wirtten on it rather than "London".......are you kidding me???? okay i can understand buttons, buses, billboreds, and hockey arenas and what ever next they can think of but water tower....are you joking me that seems a little crazy to me...i dunno i saw it and was just like how much did sears send this time on an advertisment....

We Need A Change

Today hundreds of millions of people live in proverty, starving to death and living in shakes with nothing, nothing al all... there only hope is us. occasionaly ESS runs its own little hungry for a change campaigen and i really suggest that everyone gets invoved. all we have to do is get pledges of maxium 30 dollars which is really easy to get people love giving money to a good cause. then we do not eat for 30 hours from 8am on frday morning until 8 am saturday morning we spend the night at the school and we get 20 hours of community hours and plus that all the money we raise for the 30 hours famine goes towards starving people in africa. i honestly beleive that if we as a country set our mind on freeing africa from proverty all we have to do is put our hearts into it! and i really would love to see everyone come out and support and great cause! no more starving people, no more depressed people, no more sick people. honestly lets help out wouldnt you want them to help us if we were in their shoes?

What world are we living in?

Last night i was in the computer room and my mom had the news on and i over heard some of the content that was going on, i got up and went into the living room and sat down in shock....at Vergina tech University a young man age 25 went to the university and murder 33 people including himself...why would someone do something so horrific to student who have their whole lifes ahead of them. There have been rumors at my school (the next day) that the man that murder all these inoccent people "only really wanted to kill his exgirlfriend but other people got in the way of him" another person said "he did it because he hated his teachers and his classmates" i really disagree with all of them i think it was a hate crime..when i was watching this it made me sick to my stomic for all the families and friends who have just lost loved once...honestly, it just makes us think are we really save? even coming to lil ol' ESS we have voilence too...could it get which could get out of hand like this..? I dunno this is sicking to me....is there suck thing as peace?

NEVER ANOUGH FREAKEN TIME!!!!!

I HAVE NO TIME FOR ANYTHING THIS DAY IN AGE!!!! ITS ACTUALLY RETARTED HOW ANNOYING PEOPLE GET TELLING US TO HURRY UP WITH OUR WORK AND HAND IT IN ON TIME......YEAH IF THERE WAS ANY TIME...TEACHERS GIVE US A CRAP LOAD OF WORK AND WANT IT DONE IN LIKE 3 DAYS HONESTLY I HAVE 2 JOBS AM INVOLVED WITH 3 SPORTS WANT AND SOCIAL LIFE AND WANT TO BE ADVERAGE IN MY CLASS....I TRY AND MULITY TASK WITH DOING ENGLISH IN BIO AND BIO IN ACCOUNTING AND ACCOUNTING IN ENGLISH AND EVEN ON MY BREAK AT WORK, WHEN IM ON ROAD TRIPS FOR SPORTS I USE MT MOMS LAB TOP TO FINISH UP....AND STILL.....I FAIL....LIKE DO THE TEACHERS EVEN READ OUR WORK? I FEEL LIKE IM TRYING SO HARD TO BALANCE EVERYTHING JUST TO GET A GREAT BIG "F!!" AND ITS LIKE WHY BOTHER? Yeah, Yeah all you hockey fans out their Toronto didnt make it into the play offs...soooo disopointed...i now owe my bf 10$ and my brother 30$ honestly i really thought toronto was going to at lest make it into the play offs after have a 6-5 winn over montreal but then the new york won in over time against the devils although that was a fun game to watch and that game cost me 40 bucks....man i shouldnt have made those bets that sucks...poor tononto! but i bet next year you just wait they'll make it.....hopefully......lol

McDonalds Advertisments going to far?

Is Mcdonalds advertising going to far? I am a current employee at Mcdonalds on the 401. an the amount of advertising that goes on is unbelievable ever since ive been taking media ive almost been looking for advertisments. mcdonalds has everything from commericals, radio additions, games, cupons, discounts to the gift certificates.....recently my managers blew my mind when they gave me a button that had our new snack wrap on it with the price. I thought to myself this is going to far... i wore the button an to my surprise it worked people saw my button made a comment on it and order one up. to me i believe this whole mcdonalds advertising thing is going to far. 6 in 8 people have eaten something from Mcdonalds and know exactly what it tast like is advertising really needed anymore.....people wonder why they are so unhealthy or overweight possible its because you feed into them mcdonalds advertising.

Who is Pajama's?

Well I'm going by the name pajamas because my middle name is PJ which stands for my dads moms name and my moms, moms name..yeah it no its a little dumb i couldnt think of anything better. Anyways i live in a hick ass town out side of odessa as a matter of fact that would be yarker wouldnt it be..so then i should say i live in a hick ass town outside of yarkers lol yeah its true, although i do not live on a farm (thank god) i dont think i could deal with that, i think im more of a city girl i dunno why ive just always like the bigger cities better. well i have a younger brother we usally get along but there are sometimes where he drives me freaken crazy...anywasy about PJ im more of a girly girl i like thoes things like shopping and hangen out with the bffs and the bf. i like ever type of music there is from like county to punk music, i can honestly say i dont hate any type of music. for the most part im a pretty easy going person i really like fashion and so anytime a new trend is involved i usally fall hard for it some i dont like..like the winter trend of skinny jeans didnt like thoes sorry for any offence...anyways yeah thats about all there is to it :)

ipods or ituned-out

Okay, lets pretend for a second we have no mp3, ipods, cd walkmens or tape players(lol remember these things) anways, yeah i no is it hard for you to imagen a world without being plugged in!! Is it really that hard to have a conversation with a friends with out being plugged in.... Everytime I talked to someone they atlest have one earphone in and zoned into their own world, pretending their envolved in the conversation with the occasional "Yeah," "me too," or a smile and nodd. For me its like you would rather be plugged into this world that itunes have almost planed for you, brain washing everyone with their advertising of 10000 songs...is that it? Holy Crap I dont even think I know that many songs. Now they have many different colours your ipods can come in are you a blue person? No? okay how about green...try our new red!!

Now dont get me wrong its not like i never listen to ipods and i think their this horrible new peice of tech, im just saying does everyone need to be zoned out during say lunch when you have all your friends to keep you entertained?? Personally ipods are a great addition to the 2000th centery but isnt there a time and place to listen to them?

Have you ever seen the show E-Talk Daily? It's all about celebrities and their personal lives. the episoid I was watching was all about Paris Hilton and her chiwahua "Tinkerbell." Now her dog is famous for sitting in her 300, 000 dollar Gucci bag. When it all comes down to it Paris Hitlon has made a living animal an accessory. Doesn't that seem a little naive of Paris Hitlon? I believe it does, dogs are suppose to be either pets or wild. I really disagree with the fact that Paris Hilton is using her dog as another accessory. Personaly, this is wrong...i see many different teenaged girls caring on Hilton's trend on and to me its and OUTRAGE!

When I was younger my family and I spent a lot of time at Sandbanks Provincal Park, I take lots of pictures of sun sets and other nature things..I like cheesie pictures like footprints in the sand or people honding hands walking down the beach with the sun setting in the background..haha yeah Im such a dork... Perfect or Imperfect

I recently watched the movie "Material Girls" staring Hilary and Haylie Duff when babysitting an eight year old girl. The movie was about two sisters that are the daughters of a rich cosmetic inventor that are extremly rich and perfect. When their fathers cosmetic's get a bad reputaion and they end up going bankrupt, yet these two girls still find away to look their best and get everything they want.

When I was watching this movie it puts and unrealistic image in younger girls minds. Telling them to act a certian way (which was very dumb) and implying that if you are beautiful everything will get handed too you just they way you want it. After finishing this movie the young eight year old I was babysitting asked me to do her make up and hair just like Ava Marcetta "Haylie Duff." When she said that it got me thinking about how movies like this make average girls get imperfect images of how an adolecent girl to look and act. To me this movie was pointless and disapointing to girls that strive to get good grade to get into a good university. I feel that this movie tries to seperate the perfect from the imperfect.
